About Us
Where Tradition Meets Artistic Excellence
Aarudhra Dance School is a Singapore-based institution dedicated to teaching the timeless art of Bharathanatyam and Indian Semi-Classical dance forms. Our school nurtures students of all ages, helping them discover the beauty and depth of classical Indian dance.
Led by Viswanathan Ramalakshmi, a PA-certified Bharathanatyam instructor recognised by the People's Association Singapore. She holds certifications from Dance India Asia-Pacific, Apsaras Arts Dance Academy, and Jeyamangala Academy of Music and Dance, and has performed at Chingay 2023.
Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced dancer preparing for your Arangetram, Aarudhra Dance School provides personalised guidance to help you achieve your goals. Classes are held at Toa Payoh West CC, MacPherson RC, and Eunos CC, Singapore.

Classical South Indian Dance
Bharathanatyam
One of the oldest classical dance forms of India, Bharathanatyam is known for its fixed upper torso, bent legs, spectacular footwork and hand gestures. Our structured curriculum takes students from the foundational Adavus to full-fledged performances.
Fusion & Expressive Dance
Semi-Classical
A beautiful blend of classical elements and contemporary choreography, Semi-Classical dance allows for greater creative expression while remaining rooted in Indian aesthetic. Perfect for those who want expressive storytelling through movement.
Stage & Arangetram Preparation
Performance Training
Specialised intensive training for students preparing for their Arangetram (solo debut), competitions, or group performances. This programme develops stage presence, stamina, and artistic depth under expert mentorship.
